Smoked brisket patty, American cheese, foie-tallow butter, spicy relish sauce, pickles, and tallow-grilled onions.

Jalapeño cornbread with a caramelized cheese crust. Made for the middle of the table.

Second Shift begins where the workday leaves off.

For founders Jeff Hoffman and Eric Janzen, the end of the day is the beginning of something of their own. This venture is their second shift: a shared pursuit built around barbecue, fire, and the pleasure of bringing people together.

The name belongs to the guests, too. Dinner turns into drinks. You head out, then find your way back to the same bar for one more round. A second visit. A second wind. The best part of the night, all over again.

Our first chapter unfolds through pop-ups and a residency at Weegee’s Lounge. It’s a fitting place to bring our second shift to life: barbecue, cocktails, and a room made for nights worth extending.

Our first home is Weegee’s Lounge. Second Shift brings the barbecue; Weegee’s brings the cocktails and after-dark atmosphere. Come hungry, settle in, and let the evening unfold. If the night takes you elsewhere, circle back for another drink.
